I wish you a Merry Christmas! The time has come and I am finally back home overwhelmed by the silence and the lack of overly loud sirens rushing through the streets. Bye, bye New York..I am going to miss you for sure, but it certainly wasn't the last time visiting and I am already curious to spot the nicest and most interesting restaurants and places that amazing and turbulent city has to offer. I still have a few restaurant posts left from New York, which I will share with you during the next weeks. These will be joined by some new ones from Europe. Thanks to some very nice Christmas gifts you can be curious about my upcoming baking and cooking adventures. Have lovely holidays and a happy new year!

Behind that two slightly insulting words, hides a great (maybe a bit hippster-ish) restaurant with loads of tender and juicy meat in the middle of Williamsburg.

Since I have been short on time this week, due to lovely surprises and visitors, today's post will focus on pictures rather than on much explanation. If you visit New York City, be sure you don't miss 'Chelsea Market', right next to the High Line (also not to miss!!). First, the area is beautiful to walk around, have a look on the downtown skyline from the pier or visit some of the many many nice art galleries located in Chelsea.

Kaffee, my essential every-day-drug. Back home, I managed to rehab from it and switch to my beloved Kusmi, Mariage Frères or Theodor tea, but here in New York that paper cup in your hand is a must-have accessory ;)! Besides, in NYC you can find many coffee bars, which serve great coffee (And I'm definitely not talking about Starbucks here!!). So while strolling through TriBeCa, one of my favourite neighbourhoods, I found this super nice coffee place serving not only the dark elixir against morning grumpiness, but also various sorts of pastries and lunch dishes.
