I did mention some day that I am a huge fan of Churros, didn't I?! I even made them myself one time (HERE). If you now ask yourself, what the hell these Churros are..well, it is heaven in your mouth - a very greasy "pastry" made out of a sticky dough dipped and coated in sugar, chocolate or dulce de leche. A dream, right? The best place to try them is definitely Spain or South America.

This simple starter or side dish is again the best example that cooking is not always time-consuming and that you can whip up something delicious with just a few ingredients.
Pan con tomate, or pa amb tomaquet in Catalan - simple white bread with tomato, some garlic, aromatic olive oil and sea salt. It’s ideal as a small starter on hot days.

Because of my little holiday trip to Barcelona, my blog has been on a stand-by modus for quite a while. Here are the most important impressions. To see the whole city guide you can follow THIS link.
Situated in El Born this Asian Tapasbar is easy to be reached.
The food is served in small portions but the taste is fantastic! Each portion costs about 2-5€ depending on what you order. You shouldn't miss out on the Sechuan beef, the fried duck and all the dumplings, which are really good, too.
If you want to enjoy your stay in Barcelona in a traditional way, you should visit the Xampanyeria Bar 'Can Paixano' in the street "Carrer de la Reina Cristina, 7". The bar serves traditional Cava, the Spanish champagne, for about 1€ a glass. After four glasses (so when you're 4 people, after each glass) you have to order something to eat. This is not expensive either cause they mostly serve Tapas; I really do recommend the Xistorra (a very greasy and salty sausage) with some bread, the Cecina (some kind of Spanish cured ham - tasting very very very good) or the burgers with lomo and cheese. It's almost always crowded here and you have to be cautious to not spill your cava, but you will definitely have an amazing evening! They close pretty early, about 11pm but are already open at 10am so prepare for a long day ;) . Give it a chance, you won't regret it and this is a place you surely won't forget.
