You're still trying to figure out what to do this weekend and you happen to live or visit Berlin? Well, then I have the perfect thing for you: a very authentic Thai market, which will make you come back again and again.
As I explained here and here I am a big fan of all kind of markets; food, clothes, antiques…
So this post is about markets, cause there are plenty of them in Amsterdam, but also about deli's and snack places.
Next week there will be the final Part 3, with brunch places and restaurants you can go to for lunch or dinner.
I have been writing about quite a number of restaurants here in London already and there are a lot to follow, but today I am giving you a break from that and showing you (in case you don’t know it already), a very nice market, hidden next to a railway bridge with loads of delicious food stands and other things to offer.
This neighbourhood store in TriBeCa has 'All Good Things' you need: coffee, chocolate, flowers as well as fresh meat and vegetables. I dropped by in October with my visitors after I heard about the place from somebody. "A really lovely neighboorhood store, where you can spot celebrities from time to time" - as always, luck wasn't with me and I didn't meet anyone famous. I discovered however, a very lovely store with an even nicer atmosphere.
Today again, I am not writing about a specific restaurant, but about a lovely market located at South Seaport in the financial district, next to the East River. In the same area there is a building, where the 'New York Fish Market' was located, solely dedicated to selling fresh fish and now moved to the Bronx. The building is empty and discussions and petitions are going on to decide about its future.
You have a perfect view over Brooklyn and on Brooklyn Bridge here and you can easily combine your visit with a walk uptown along the East River.
