Restaurant Friday: Cosy Afternoons at Café Angelique NYC

by - Thursday, October 24, 2013

Since winter is almost here and it is getting colder and colder, I have to look for some places where I can hang out, drink hot chocolate for hours and hours while reading a book or browsing the internet. 'Café Angelique' (click to get to webpage -> here) seems perfect for this. Located in West Village, close to Greenwich Village, it is located in a very pretty area with Washington Square nearby.

Type of Place: café with all kinds of hot drinks like hot chocolate, chai catte or cappuccino with vanilla ice cream. Who could say no to that?! Seats are not super comfy but just fine and you feel very welcome and homely here. You can also have breakfast, brunch or lunch here.

Food: I did not try the pastries YET, but they look delicious! The café also serves breakfast and all kind of lunch snacks such as sandwiches, salads etc. I had a chai latte, which I liked a lot, because it was not too sweet as it sometimes happens to you at Starbucks.

Prices: Normal prices for a Cafe, not expensive and quite similar to European prices.

Don't get confused! There are several 'Café Angelique' around in town, the one I am talking about is the one on 9 Grove Street, New York, NY 10014
