When we arrived it was cold. The next day it was terribly cold. Actually, all the days during my stay in the end of November in Montreal were COLD.
Kaffee, my essential every-day-drug. Back home, I managed to rehab from it and switch to my beloved Kusmi, Mariage Frères or Theodor tea, but here in New York that paper cup in your hand is a must-have accessory ;)! Besides, in NYC you can find many coffee bars, which serve great coffee (And I'm definitely not talking about Starbucks here!!). So while strolling through TriBeCa, one of my favourite neighbourhoods, I found this super nice coffee place serving not only the dark elixir against morning grumpiness, but also various sorts of pastries and lunch dishes.
Starting into the day with a nice brunch is the best thing you can do. Enjoying sun, life and the many different restaurants NYC has to offer. Cafe Orlin is a cute restaurant in East Village on St Marks Place, where you actually can find plenty of other restaurants. I picked that one though, because of its nice atmosphere, the feasible prices and because there you can sit outside and enjoy the last sunrays.
Since winter is almost here and it is getting colder and colder, I have to look for some places where I can hang out, drink hot chocolate for hours and hours while reading a book or browsing the internet. 'Café Angelique' (click to get to webpage -> here) seems perfect for this. Located in West Village, close to Greenwich Village, it is located in a very pretty area with Washington Square nearby.
