Tartes gehen immer, vor allem im Sommer mit Vanilleeis oder mit Sahne, oder Yoghurt!

Tartes are a great thing, perfect for summer afternoons. Pair with vanilla ice cream, or cream, or yoghurt!

Kaffee, my essential every-day-drug. Back home, I managed to rehab from it and switch to my beloved Kusmi, Mariage Frères or Theodor tea, but here in New York that paper cup in your hand is a must-have accessory ;)! Besides, in NYC you can find many coffee bars, which serve great coffee (And I'm definitely not talking about Starbucks here!!). So while strolling through TriBeCa, one of my favourite neighbourhoods, I found this super nice coffee place serving not only the dark elixir against morning grumpiness, but also various sorts of pastries and lunch dishes.

'Georgetown Cupcake' - Better than 'Magnolia Bakery' ?!
- Well, I think that's a question of your personal taste, whether you have a sweet tooth, or rather prefer desserts, which are not overloaded with sugar. I think that in general 'Magnolia Bakery' cupcakes are much sweeter, the muffin below the cream is a bit more firm and so is the cream itself. That's probably also the reason why after eating a 'Magnolia Bakery' cupcake you feel really saturated, however the 'Georgetown Cupcake' cupcake could be a never ending story.

Since winter is almost here and it is getting colder and colder, I have to look for some places where I can hang out, drink hot chocolate for hours and hours while reading a book or browsing the internet. 'Café Angelique' (click to get to webpage -> here) seems perfect for this. Located in West Village, close to Greenwich Village, it is located in a very pretty area with Washington Square nearby.

As you might have recognized, my posts lately concentrate on New York City and its restaurants. To find out more about that you can click here or above on the 'New York, New York' part.
